PRODUCT INFORMATION

ITEM:  The "Ciener" GLOCK 17/22 & 19/23 .22LR Conversion Unit

CONTENTS:  The unit consists of a new slide, .22 LR barrel, return spring and guide rod and 15 or 12 round (19/23) magazine in a fitted plastic case.

FITS:
17/22 Unit
- Fits G17, G22, G24, G31, G34 & G35.
19/23 Unit - Fits G19, G23, G25 & G32.
May be used on G26, G27 but slide/barrel & magazine will over hang frame.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE:  Direct blow back design, as are all other .22 firearms.

GAS PISTON or FLOATING CHAMBER?:  Since the slide is made of light weight alloy, there is no need  for a gas piston or floating chamber which are subject to regular fowling.

LAST ROUND HOLD OPEN FEATURE?:  The unit magazine's manufacturing technique does not allow for the retention of this feature.

INSTALLATION/REMOVAL:  Field strip the firearm as for cleaning to include removal of the slide/barrel/return spring upper assembly. Install the unit's sub-caliber assembly same as the OEM parts and insert the unit's magazine.
Since the units barrel does not "lock up" in the slide as does the OEM parts, pushing against the muzzle on removal will assist in pulling down the latch bar. Approximate conversion time is ten seconds.

FUNCTIONING:  The unit functions FLAWLESSLY (guaranteed) on good quality High Velocity, Hyper Velocity and some Standard Velocity quality .22 LR ammunition.

ACCURACY:  Shoots inside the standard calibers performance envelope.

SIGHTS:  The front and rear sights are part of the slide. They are machined from the solid stock as the slide is machined.

MAGAZINE:  The magazine's capacity is 15 rounds for 17/22 and 12 rounds for 19/23. We have two patents on its design.

PLASTIC STORAGE BOX:  The custom fitted box allows for the storage of the original parts from the firearm it is installed on while the unit is in use.

DIS-ASSEMBLE FOR CLEANING (FIELD STRIPPING):

Slide/Barrel/Return Spring Top End - The barrel is installed into the slide from the rear underside similar to the GLOCK pistol.  It is retained by the recoil spring guide rod.

Magazine - The unit magazine fully dis-assembles in seconds.  It features patented tongue-in-groove inter-connected back and bottom plates which slide off/out so the interior can be easily cleaned.

MATERIAL:

Slide - The slide is machined on Mazak CNC equipment out of solid bar 7075 T6 Alloy.  This is the same alloy used in the construction of the M16 U.S. battle rifle, Colt Cmndr Light Weight & Beretta 92FS receivers, F16 Fighting Falcon, NASA Space Shuttles, etc.

Barrel - The barrel is machined from E. R. Shaw pre-rifled 4140 match grade barrel stock.

FINISH:

Alloy Parts - Mil-Spec Anodized matte black.
Steel Parts - Mil-Spec Parkerized or natural as required.

WEIGHT:  The unit weighs approximately 1 lb. without the plastic box, 1.25 lb. in its box.
